Hello woild, This is the brand new launch website of a friendly little enterprise launched in Atlanta GA in 2010 called 4 The Boids Multi Media Services.
This was the end result of a fateful e-mail that came not long ago. It was a request to design a CD package for a west coast jazz ensemble’s demo CD and the rest as they say is history.
I used to work a pretty good paying corporate job until December of 2009 when in typical fashion, I was laid off by the new owners that came in. After a 2 month sabbatical and several months of what turned out to be fruitless and frustrating job hunting, that “fateful email” caused something upstairs to either click (or snap depending on your point of view). The conclusion, a simple principle covered in a best-selling book by Dr Marsha Sinetar, “DO WHAT YOU LOVE, THE MONEY WILL FOLLOW”
From there, a series of events gave way to things like producing video content for musicians, on-location videography in the Atlanta area and other media related services geared for the performer, business or organization at ground level. So far, this is how I always envisioned working, work that is enjoyable fun and satisfying and helps out my fellow musicians, performers, businesses or organizations and others in their respective journeys at reasonable fair prices. It’s always an adventure, and in my mind, that’s the way it should be.
And how did I arrive at the name and logo? Two things caused it to manifest:
- Those who know me well are familiar with my quirky unending love of the 1960′s Batman TV show. My favorite villain of the regulars was The Penguin (played with great comic aplomb by Burgess Meredith)
- My whole sentiment towards working in the stifling, hyper-paranoid, greed/power driven, soul-destroying corporate world, IT’S FOR THE BOIDS!!
And so the adventure begins!
